We at GhanaThink believe strongly in our mission: mobilize and organize talent for the primary benefit of Ghana and our vision: build a critical mass of patriotic, passionate, positive, proactive, progressive and productive young Ghanaians . Our mission is very broad so there are so many things we can do but we would only do what's easiest for us to succeed at given our state and situation  . We started GhanaThink with the spirit of volunteerism . To this day, GhanaThink is run by 100+  volunteer members and labour , including myself.  Volunteeringh opportunities with us exist for all Barcamps we organize. Aside the members, we normally have a group of volunteers per each local team,  and if we need more, we look for some. Currently, we normally get new volunteers through our community - Konnect , etc or people who we have noted who want to volunteer with us. Volunteerism is when people decide to help get something done to help others without being paid for it ....

A few years ago, I joined a seminar by One Ayindaa called  ENTERPRISE SATURDAY . The topic was HOW DO I MAKE MYSELF EMPLOYABLE THROUGH VALUE ADDITION? This followed the first Barcamp Ahanta in December 2019 , which was a partnership between GhanaThink and One Ayindaa . As Justice Baidoo puts it, One Ayindaa is a movement of young men and women of Ahanta. This was a year after we at GhanaThink had organized Jobcamps in the 10 regional capitals , and after the National Youth Employment Convening, the #YouthDeyJob & #Youth4Work hashtags were born. Sometime in Q1 2025, my work colleague Richard Mawuko Duttey told me about Jobberman doing features on people around work, etc. He is a big fan of Jobberman, he pretty much got to work for Kosmos Innovation Center thanks to this African built workforce platform. I joined him one fine day to Jobberman's office, hidden somewhere in the central parts of Accra where their comms team recorded a video. I am honored to have been featured by Jobberman in their Time With The Experts series. I remember Jobberman 's early years. I was following them from the Bay Area when it was founded in August 2009 by Olalekan Olude, Ayodeji Adewunmi and Opeyemi Awoyemi in their dormitory in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife to help connect people looking for jobs with companies hiring. I've been a lazy blogger but I hope to change that in 2018. Posting on Twitter took over blogging for me and then Whatsapp took over from Twitter. People ask me how come I have a lot of time for social media. The simple answer is: Social media and social communication are very powerful tools that have really helped me, so I continue to use them while finding ways to make them bring more value to me and things I work on. Hello Osagyefo, A lot has happened since I last wrote to you. Chief among them, the Beijing Olympics just ended over the weekend. I share in your disappointment; our beloved country failed to win a single medal. Either our athletes are not good enough to earn our national anthem some airtime on the world stage or we are not investing enough in various sports disciplines so that we can be counted amongst countries with medals. We went there to make up the numbers. But we didn't even have the numbers - our contingent was less than a score (Ha, always wanted to use this expression).
