Rewarding Vodafone subscribers as #YeeTwiKor

Image
The announcement to reward 180000 Vodafone customers through the Yɛɛ Twi KÉ” was bold. The odds are high given that Vodafone has over 7 million subscribers. But I could surely get lucky if 180000 people are being rewarded right? My friends have been awarded already. I have so many friends who swore by Vodafone X that I also started using it eventually. It’s awesome that the #VodafoneX family and the #VodafoneRed family are eligible for this promo. I’ve been enjoying using wi-fi with the Samsung Note Pro tablet which has my Vodafone chip and using expressPay to recharge. This promo has already convinced me to recharge credit the popular way by scratching and topping up. The Vodafone recharge cards have a new format with features including two scratchable panels - the concealed recharge pin and the hidden prize. Scratch the panel and reveal the identity of the prizes won. I just spoke this into your life, go and recharge now! Amen! On November 16, 2015, some Kumasi based su...

Vodafone’s #YeeTwiKor promo is on point

Image
It’s a great time to be a Vodafone customer as Vodafone Ghana is on a mission to reward 180,000 customers via the Y ɛɛ Twi K É” promo . I should be one of them, and you too. When Vodafone decides to be loyal, good things happen. Ask Doctor Kay K , he won GHČĽ100. Evidence here . I asked my fellow GhanaThink members on whatsapp and one person has won GHČĽ5.00. Small small. I asked on Facebook and a friend had gotten 100 points. That's great to see but I also especially love the way this promo has been ran. I started using Vodafone late last year. At #startcon14 , I received a Samsung Note Pro tablet with a Vodafone chip. I continued to hear so much about Vodafone X and promptly signed onto it. It’s been great, though I haven’t used it as much as I enjoy Vodafone broadband (wi-fi). During the height of the #dumsor problems, Vodafone started giving out mobile data to its broadband users as part of appeasing us for the internet challenges. I got my second Vodafone chip. Smart c...

Barcamp Sunyani 2015 touches on technology training

Image
I will never forget the first time I came to Sunyani . The place looked so serene and clean. Over the last couple of years since I've been in the capital of the Brong Ahafo region, many residents have opined about how population growth has taken the cleanliness shine off a bit but the serenity still remains supreme. We've been hearing about violent acts, but not enough to cloud the region. The region is still known for its agriculture, energy and resources. And football too! I'll be watching the #ElClasico in the SunCity . After, #youknowwhat!  +Barcamp Sunyani  2015! This will be the 4th  +Barcamp Sunyani . Excited about it. Especially the theme dubbed "Technology tool training for these times". We're underperforming in tech use in Ghana and we must step up our game. +Jean-Baptiste Mantey , the main cofounder, is not in Sunyani now but his tentacles are all over the organization of the event. In his stead, the diligent  +Kofi Kafui Kornu  is the current ...

Barcamp Kumasi lives and discusses Sustainable Entrepreneurial Practices this Saturday

Image
Kumasi was naturally the next city to have a Barcamp after the ones in Accra. In 2010, the first +Barcamp Kumasi  happened at KNUST. This Saturday will be the 6th +Barcamp Kumasi , and the 52nd +Barcamp Ghana  event. I'll be there. Kumasi is where I was bred, and where my parents still live. All these years in trying to build a network of changemakers, doers and entrepreneurs in Kumasi, we've been too limited to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology community. As past Barcampers have left Tech and stayed in Kumasi and through the few #KumasiKonnect events pioneered by our own +GhanaThink Foundation , there is a growing inclusion. I pray for the huge number of first time Barcampers this Saturday, with many of them being Kumasi based but not part of the KNUST community. So help us God :-) The team is led by the indefatigable +sampson deklu  who is mostly in Ho these days and co-emceed +Barcamp Ho . In fact, he's the first repeat #bcksi coordinator ...

Barcamp Ho chalks 5 years of impact and successful #bcho projects

Image
I'll be going to Ho for the 6th time this weekend. This will be the 5th time for +Barcamp Ho , I've attended every single Barcamp in #HoCity. The other time I was in the capital of the Volta region, I was attending the funeral of the late Eli Aidam , one of the Barcamp Ho co-founders. We miss him , one of the true young heroes of Ghana. He'll be proud of what we've achieved with Barcamp Ho, especially +Junior Camp Ghana . The current team continues to do a great job, led by +Courage Christson Tetteh . +Gameli Adzaho  is still there to give advice and support to others like +Elvis Bomasah   +Ousman Saidy   +Courage ES   +Mark Hammond   +Precious Adade  and +Harry Akligoh . We need to mention folks like +Eric Tackie Tawiah Ankrah  and +Shika Brown as well. The team needs some awesome ladies though, like +Rachel Hormeku  and +Senam Aseye Bridget  who are part of the +Barcamp Ghana  team alongside +kofi yeboah   +Leonard Hagan ...
